on wednesday i went shopping in china town with my friend jessica - she lives round there. it's not realy like chinatown in london, i mean it is similar in the way that there are lots of chinese things there, but very different in the way that you actually feel like your in china at some points! all the signs are in chinese, you don't know what you're buying at some points... it's mental.
sophy and i have been watching this show on 'the travel channel' called 'bizarre foods - with andrew zimmern'. it's basically this bald fat american fella wandering about various countries around the globe munching his way through the oddest foods that he and his guides can find. he really does put some very wierd things in his mouth. all this taken in to consideration - it's my new favourite show!
so whilst i was meandering around the 'hong kong supermarket' on wednesday i was kinda pleased and suprised to find some of the 'foods' that andrew zimmern had eaten...
duck tongues, live frogs and goose kidneys to mention just three!
these are all going to be added to my 'things i didn't think i'd see in america' list.
